What Colter does

This policy explains how Colter collects, uses, and retains data when you use agenticcom.ai or the Colter Shopify app. The Recommendation Audit reads a public Shopify product page and suggests improvements. The installed app supports monitoring and theme changes that you choose to make.

Data we collect

Recommendation Audit and website

  • Audit inputs and results: product-page and store URLs, the buyer question you save, public page evidence, timestamps, scores, suggested page work, and later answer-comparison records you choose to import.
  • Account and contact data: email address, store URL, authentication state, plan, support messages, and notification preferences you provide.
  • Service activity: request paths, user-agent and protocol headers, sanitized referrers, timestamps, and operational diagnostics used to run and protect the service. Colter's monitoring tables do not store raw IP addresses.
  • Authentication cookies: a server-issued session cookie is used when you sign in. Cloudflare Web Analytics may also provide aggregate, cookie-free website measurements.

Installed Shopify app

  • Shop and authorized-user records: shop domain, plan and subscription state, Shopify session identifiers, granted scopes, access token, and authorized-user details supplied by Shopify, such as name, email, locale, and account-owner status.
  • Product and shop events: product and shop webhooks are used to refresh stored page evidence and connection state. Public product data may be read when a check or guided change needs it.
  • Theme and metafield data: active-theme files and settings needed to inspect or apply a supported change; Colter shop metafields for score, grade, last-check time, and the monitoring site ID. A theme or content change occurs only through the implemented merchant-controlled flow.
  • Checkout and order events: Shopify webhook payloads are processed to retain checkout activity, order ID, order amount and currency, line-item count, timing, and any matching Colter session identifier. Colter does not retain customer names, email addresses, postal addresses, or payment-card details from these events.

Optional storefront monitoring

If a merchant enables the Colter theme extension, it sends the Colter site ID, page path without query parameters, referrer, browser user agent, and event time. Colter uses those signals to classify recorded visits and checkout reach. The browser extension cannot observe crawlers that do not run JavaScript. A recorded or matched event does not prove that a visit caused an order or revenue.

How we use data

  • Run product-page audits, public-evidence scans, later answer comparisons, and merchant-requested technical workflows.
  • Authenticate accounts, connect the Shopify app, manage subscriptions, and provide support.
  • Record monitoring activity and match checkout or order events to available activity records. Matching is not a claim of causation.
  • Store the monitoring site ID and apply supported theme changes through explicit app actions.
  • Operate, secure, debug, and improve the service.

We do not sell merchant or customer data for advertising. We do not use Shopify merchant data, customer data, or derived Shopify data to train AI or machine-learning systems without explicit written consent.

Storage and access

Colter runs on Cloudflare Workers and stores application data in Cloudflare D1 and related Cloudflare services where used. Shopify OAuth access tokens and Colter service credentials are stored server-side and are not sent to the public website client. Connections to Colter and Shopify use HTTPS. Access is limited to the service paths and operators that need it.

Retention and deletion

  • Saved public audits can be opened by anyone with their report link and are not tied to an account or plan history window. To request deletion of a saved audit, contact Colter support with the report link. Plan history windows and usage limits apply to the associated paid features.
  • Account, billing, and operational records are retained while the account or installation is active and as needed for support, security, legal, or financial records.
  • Uninstalling deletes Shopify app sessions, marks the installation inactive, revokes the Colter-created app key, and attempts to remove applicable Colter theme artifacts. Some account and operational records remain until the applicable retention or Shopify redaction process runs.
  • A verified Shopify shop/redact webhook deletes the stored Shopify shop data handled by the app's redaction paths.

To request access or deletion, email team@agenticcom.ai. We may need to verify the request and may retain records where required by law or needed to protect the service.

Shopify privacy webhooks

Colter handles Shopify's required customers/data_request, customers/redact, and shop/redact webhooks. The current app does not retain Shopify customer names, emails, postal addresses, or payment-card data in its activity tables.
